f) Substitutes:

Substitutes are allowed at any point in the tournament but within this framework:

1) No single player can play for 2 different teams. For example, once a player has played one game as part of the ‘A’ team of a particular organization, then he cannot play for team ‘B’ or ‘C’ of that organization after that or vice versa. Conversely the same player cannot appear for any other organization throughout the tournament

2) No player can play on more than one board in one match. As all games of a match take place simultaneously, there is no scope for this. Absence of a player at the scheduled time will result in a walkover for that game. If the entire team fails to show up on time, then the result is a walkover for the entire match.

g) Each table will have a referee/adjudicator. The referee’s decisions are absolute & binding on all participants.

h) It is the player's responsibility to be aware of all rules, regulations applying to the game.

The referee is the enforcer/adjudicator of these rules & NOT an instructor. The responsibility of playing within the framework of the rules of the game & in the spirit of the game lies entirely with the player. While tournament officials will make every reasonable effort to have such information readily available to all players when required, the ultimate responsibility rests with the player.

i) All the necessary game equipments will be available at the venue.

However the participants can also bring their own cues, rests, mechanical bridge, chalks & powder. All such equipment should meet existing equipment specifications. The referee can inspect the player’s equipment at any point of time & his decisions are absolute & binding to ensure fair conduct of play. If the player is uncertain about a particular use of equipment, he should discuss it with the tournament management prior to the start of play.

j) All participants will be given food coupons on their match days. These can be redeemed against food & beverages at the venue.

k) All Participants will be issued Collared T-shirts bearing their company name/logo. The Logos must however reach us at least 1 week before the start of the tournament.
